    It's very common for one partner to feel more open to learning and working on the relationship than the other, so you're not alone.

    While I don't want you to try to take on singlehandedly changing the relationship by yourself, the insights you gain from this course will help you better understand how and why you're feeling disconnected from your partner.

    You might then share with them what you're learning, and that you are trying to apply the strategies you're learning.

    There are no guarantees, but your partner may even see your effort, and feel more open to learning themselves.
  • Does this course apply if I'm queer and/or gender expansive?

    I'm so glad you're here! I personally began on the road to secure attachment while I was still single.

    As you listen to this course, think about your closest relationships, and apply what you learn to them.

    I also encourage folks to use these strategies in individual therapy, in moments when it feels like your therapist isn't getting you. Talk to them about your desire to build secure attachment, and process the feelings that come up when you're feeling disconnected from your therapist.
  • Does this course apply to non-romantic and/or non-sexual relationships?
    Yes, it surely does! Though I refer to "partners" throughout the course, I kept in mind ace folks and those whose relationship struggles are happening in their platonic connections.

    This course is meant to be applied to your closest relationships, no matter what kind.

    I do encourage you to think about the degree of closeness you have with someone before applying these strategies. There are some relationships (I'm thinking of conventional work relationships, for example) in which the level of vulnerability I teach in this course may not be appropriate.
  • Does this course apply if my relationships are non-monogamous?
    Absolutely, and welcome! This course does not assume your relationship style, and it applies to any relationships in which the goal is to feel a sense of emotional security.

    If you're non-monogamous, I encourage you to listen to the course more than once, keeping your dynamics with a different partner in mind each time.
